Just started my DC-3 build. Will post pics tomorrow.

Gluing the stringers is a challenge.

Pack 1

So the fun has begun! Pack 1 is well underway and if this is representative of the rest of the kit, it will be a joy to build.

The fitting of the stringers was quite 'fiddley' as some of you chaps would say.LOL

I apologize for the lack of pics. For some reason, my Galaxy S7 is dropping photos from it's gallery. I need to figure out a better way to take pics.

I'm finishing off the various sub-assemblies as I wait for a shipment of paint to arrive. It would be very convenient if the paints for each Pack were included with the parts, but alas, I don't suppose that will ever happen.

Anyway here are pics I have so far.

Comments and advice is always welcome.

Looks like you are off to a great start.

Cool Cool Cool

As for the stringers you will get plenty of practice and it gets easier the more you do.

Keep up the good work and if you come across a problem just ask.BigGrin

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I am working on the center console now. Lost my first tiny part. One of the yellow handled levers decided to jump out of my tweezers and disappear. I'm sure it won't be the last lost part I will need to fabricate.

So I have finished all of the sub-assemblies and details of Pack 1. I am waiting to finish the seats and final assembly until I get the brown paint needed for the pilot's seats.

I will not be painting the propeller until I can do both of them at the same time.

Thanks for watching.

Well done Mark. Cool

There`s lots of fiddly parts in those sub assemblies and they look good.

I finally received my paints for my DC 3 build and have completed the cockpit interior.

Pack 1

Step 32

I painted the leather part of the pilots seats with Vallerjo Brown.

Step 33

Pilot's seats were assembled.

Step 42

Fitted and glued the Pilot's seats in the cockpit.

Step 51

Installed the fire extinguisher between the seats.

Step 52

Fitted and glued the center console in place.

Step 54

Installed the 2 joysticks.

Step 56

Install the 2 control levers between the seats.

This finally completes Pack 1. Thanks for watching.
Mark
