First let me say I know it's a model but I have seen many years ago better door fit on dinky toys. The nearside door opens and closes without problems, a bit sloppy but never mind. The off side door is difficult to open and close because it jams on the striker plate. I have stripped the door down and removed the paint from the hinge bar and it's contact point in the door to ease the door forward as much as possible. This has given some improvement but still not good enough. I am reluctant to file off the striker plate as doing that will leave bare metal although on a full size vehicle they aren't painted anyway. The doors appear to be the correct size in relation to the body Any ideas? Anyone else had the same problem? That's new one on me. Mine went together fine. I don't know of anyone with this problem but you never know. Could it be that you have a slightly dodgy door part? I'm sure you could get a replacement from CS...

Thanks Roy, Three possible dodgy parts, The door? The hinge? or The body? Looks like I try packs 6 and 7 first and go from there. Alec Built: Bluenose, Arab Dhow, HMS Bounty, Hummer H1, D51, Spitfire,E type Jaguar. In Progress: HMS Victory, , Yamaha YZR-M1

Just for the record, you're not the only one. Fitted n/s door yesterday, and the fit is awful. I'm assuming it's the door shape that's out and not the body shell.

C/S are really good at sending out replacement parts. I didn't have any issues with my doors but I gather a few people have. It will get sorted if you ask.
