Issue 80 Here we start on the aircraft hangers. First of all the instructions have the parts in letters,yet the parts are numbered.just take a as 1,b as 2 etc etc, and you be fine, first of all add all the plastic parts vents,doors and overhanging boat supports to each hanger, there not identical so pay attention, then it's onto the etch boat cradles on roof,3 tiny triangle etch bits on end each one, don't glue cradles on wrong way round, then it's a etch brace on the 3overhanging cradles, least there no etch bending on this issue.cheers mick. mogwai attached the following image(s): Builds hms victory, suzuki gsx 1300 R hayabusa, honda C B 750, lamborghini countach L P 500 S, tamiya 1/16 rc full option tiger 1 tank,

Issue 81 Here we get another hull plate, this one not used at the moment as it's a removable plate to show bit of internal detail, the turbine and anti torpedo ribbing, which is built in a later issue, here we just fit the etch catwalks, first of all bend all the tabs at 90 degrees then glue down the center of the roof there both identical so easy to fit,then there are 2 smaller catwalks these are different so be careful gluing them on, just one note on these the instructions have got port and starboard mixed up, but follow the pictures not the text, and you be fine,unfortunately I forgot to take photos of these at this stage but you will see them next stage. Issue 82 First of all we glue in 5 vents around the second main gun barbette, then make up 4 breakwater hinges, I find it easier to fit the metal hinges to the plastic bases for them why still on the sprue, then it's glue a ladder to the deck, then glue in the 2 breakwaters and the 4 hinges 2 each side.then it's back to fiddly etch on the aircraft hangers, first of all bend up and fit the handrails then there's a ladder going over the pitch of the roof this needs bending to.then there are 4 more small catwalks to bend and fit in place,and finally 2 ladders to fit on the sides, then just glue the hangers to the deck one each side of the funnel. Looking great Mick. Doing a wonderful job on her. I'm in two minds to buy the Trumpy Bismark to add to my todo list. There is meant to be a 1/200 Tirpitz coming soon too. Chris On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Hi to all the builders of this, I am wondering if the anchor chains will be adjusted at some point, the connection to the anchor was changed and could be hauled up to deck level but at present the test only lifts and drops it a few inches.

Mick All looking very good. I am “collecting” rather than building but at the point wondering best course of action. I am a month behind you in terms of editions but not sure if i really want to continue. I see that agora models are going to sell the display case as a standalone item for this model meaning original hachette builders will be able to get it. Hope yours continues well. Issue 84 We get to fix the superstructure to the deck via 6 screws from underneath, you have to remove the turret turning motor to access one of them, then put it back the rest is sorting out the wires fixing the main circuit board box and plugging in the 22 plugs.this was just frustrating at times working underneath and not damaging all the superstructure. Just 2 pics as not going to bore you with every wire that's put in. Issue 86 First of all we make up 10 small vents by gluing on the bits of etch to the vents, then glue them in around the second 15cm gun 5 each side, these were a pain to get in working behind the gun and with the boat cradle above them,then we make up the 2 heavy anti-aircraft guns these just sit in the holes on the deck above and behind the 15cm guns, then we put in the preshaped handrails 2 each side again access is difficult behind everything, then just 5 etch ladders to glue in.thats it till next time cheers mick. mogwai attached the following image(s): Builds hms victory, suzuki gsx 1300 R hayabusa, honda C B 750, lamborghini countach L P 500 S, tamiya 1/16 rc full option tiger 1 tank,

Hi thanks to all who looked in and left comments much appreciated Issue 87 First of all we make up 2 more anti aircraft guns, then make up the flying bridge platforms one each side, then bend the handrail for these and glue them on the flying bridge can be out or tucked in as it swivels. Then 2 more bits of handrail to bend and fit , one each side again, then 2 preshaped bits of handrail added on the next deck below, then 2 straight small bits of handrail fitted just behind the rangefinders.
