This might be obvious but I hadn't seen anyone mention it whilst I searching the forums for an answer so if you are facing this issue, this is the obvious fix;

Just turned my R2 on for the first time, everything working great apart from the sensors. On patrol mode, he was driving into things and wouldn't stop trying to move forward. Or on activation of patrol mode. he was moving forward and backwards in a circle (not jolting on the floor, but smoothly moving back and forth).


I took him off the carpet and put him on hard floor - patrol mode works perfectly along with everything else, so happy!


I should mention - I wasn't having any jolting carpet issues, he was moving smoothly in manual mode so I assumed the carpet was fine but there are no carpets in Star Wars.
