Some wonderful painting on those decorations and figures Alan, beautifully done!Cool
I can remember making the Airfix Wasa (I think it was Wasa back then, many decades ago, not Vasa as it is now) and I think the instructions just said to paint them all gold! This colour scheme looks much nicer!
Best of luck with completing her and I agree with the others, the stain looks excellent!

Stage 95 Contents: Gallery Roof and Decorations.

Retrieve the mast top fret T1 from Stage 91. Remove all of the parts from the fret and smooth their edges.

Stage 126 of the instructions advise to apply a coat of clear varnish to the platform and to paint the ribs, crosstrees and rails. I chose to carry out this task here rather than when the assembly of the top was completed. Platform received two coats of light oak wood stain, the ribs were stained using the same stain that was used on the hull, the crosstrees and rail were painted dark brown (RAL 8014). These were left to dry fully before assembling.

Take five of the ribs T1-6 and glue them into the notches shown in step 3 of the instructions, aligning the ribs with the respective notches opposite. Fix the two ribs T1-7 into the next notch at the side followed by the two ribs T1-8, again ensuring they are all aligned with their corresponding rib opposite. Now add the two ribs T1-10 and finally the single T1-9 rib. Note: these have been marked up wrong on the fret compared to the instructions. Now glue the rail on top of the ribs and leave to dry.

Glue one of the crosstrees into the first notches of the two trestletrees, the three pieces should be perpendicular to each other. Glue the second crosstrees into the third notches of the trestletrees, and then glue the chock into the middle notch. Ensure the parts are all perpendicular before the parts dry.
Glue the crosstrees assembly onto the underside of the top platform. Check that the crosstrees are flush with the edges of the rectangular opening in the platform.

Remove any burrs or flash from the decorations supplied with this stage. Apply a coat of metal primer and leave to dry.

Follow the painting guide provided within the instructions to paint the decorations. When dry, carefully store the decorations and the assembled top in a bag labeled with this stage number until they are needed again.

This stage is now complete.
