It is the same as the airfix kit from the '70's.

It started off as a kit issued by Fundiemension in 1975. Its been reboxed and updated a few times by airfix, then it was issued under the amt/ertl brand, and its latest incarnation is under the Mpc brand.

Its a kit that really has proved popular over the years and i know in "lean" times when its not been an available kit they go for crazy prices on the likes of ebay.

I still remember getting one of these as a birthday present when i was 12 and can still remember how thrilled i was to get this one.

Hope you have lots of fun building yours and hope it brings back lots of happy memories for you.

Tony

How did you find your ordering go with Shapeways Phil? Did you haver any problems or delays?

Asking as there is a small part i would not mind ordering from them but never used them before so bit unsure.

The replacement feet look very good by the way.

Those landing gear replacements look very nice and very tempting
Man he took his time in the sun
Had a dream to understand
A single grain of sand
He gave birth to poetry
But one day will cease to be
Greet the last light of the library...We were here!
