To the admins and Tom: FYI

This is what I saw after 10 refreshes using Firefox. I m sure I am not alone with this. The single refresh 'solution' has never worked for me. On a site where pictures are critical, this is so frustrating.

Is there any sign of the new forum we were promised 18 months ago?

Thanks for confirming that, Martyn.

I was given the impression that I was the only one having problems with this.

I use an ipad for all my viewing and get the same.

If there are say 6 pictures i initially get nothing showing. If i refresh i may get 1 of the 6 showing. Refresh again and i get that one disappear and a different one appear.

What i have found works most times is to disconnect my wifi connection in settings then switch it back in. When i then do a refresh i usually get the pictures appear.

One other suggestion i would like to make for any new site is that for new members first postings these first have to be checked by admin before they appear on the forum (similar to a few facebook sites i belong too) then hopefully we can stop these annoying training shoe posts that appear from time to time - 3 again on here this morning.

Thanks Tony.

That's a good idea as well.I reported three as spam just this morning. Actually there is probably a setting on the current forum that could do that.

But anyway, enough from me before I get another warning.

Hi John,

Unfortunately there isn't a setting on the present forum that I know of that can ensure new user's first posts are approved by admin before appearing on the forum, if there was such a setting then am sure it would have been put into affect by now. Whether any new forum, if one appears, will have such a setting remains to be seen.

Regards

Alan
