Hi. I'm completely new to modelling. I'm an elderly lady, never modelled before, but the other day I saw something called "Mechanical flowers" by UGEARS and was really taken with it. Is this the sort of thing a complete beginner could tackle? I don't want to spend the money if it's going to be beyond me. Many thanks

Hi Hache and welcome to the forum. I have built one of the Ugears models before, but not the mechanical flower. The kits are very well put together and do not require glue. If you are patient and have a steady hand I think you will be fine.
If you want to see what’s involved here is their build video

Hope you enjoy

Hi Gray. Thanks very much for this. Yes, I do have very steady hands so I think I will give it a go. If I go ahead, I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks again
Hache

I've also seen these kits, but never built one.

I think if you fancy a nice 'project' that you spend some enjoyable time with, it shouldn't be a problem.

Also, bear in mind we're a friendly bunch here and if you get stuck with anything, there's lots of help and support available.

Roy.
