Construction Phase 1 - The hood of the trunkHello and welcome to the construction of the VW beetle. A car with cult status. This construction of the beetle will be more rich in detail than other models, because optionally we paint here various clamps and small parts with Modellbaufarbe, but then more.
We start by inserting the handle of the hood (1-2) into the hood. Then we turn the hood over while holding the handle. It is recommended to place all painted components on a soft surface. From the inside, we then put the lock (1-3) on the handle and screw it to the lower hole with a screw SP01. Then we put the lock on the upper end of the lock and screw everything together with a SOP01 screw.
We pick up the two headlights until we obstruct them later. © Levelord

Phase 2 - The right front wheelUnlike described in construction manual, I pull the tire on the rim. For this I boil water in the kettle, pour this into a bowl and do the tire there for about 20 seconds. With tweezers I get this out again, dry it off and then simply pull it on the rim. At the beginning, the tire is still quite loose on it, but once it has cooled, it is solid. It continues with the brake disk 2-4 and the knuckle 2-5. We put both components together as you can see. From the front we then put the front part of the brake disc 2-3 over the hub. Laterally, we put the caliper over both discs and screw it to the steering knuckle with two SD01 screws. The inner part of the rim and the hub each have a notch. We now put both parts on top of each other so that both components mesh with each other. From the front we then screw the wheel with an SD02 screw and finally mount the hub cap. Construction phase 3 - The bonnetNow we dedicate ourselves to the hood. Here the lock is already mounted, so be careful that we do not damage this. First, we put the bonnet on a soft cloth and then insert the air intake 3-3. We fix this with two SD03 screws. For the screws that grip in metal, it is advisable to moisten them with a little oil to make them easier to clean. Now the exterior of the license plate illumination housing 3-2 is plugged in and bolted from the inside with two SP02 screws. Now the number plate attached from the outside and also vin inside with two SO02 screws attached.
The bumper and screws we do not need to lift up well. The stickers are, unlike specified, were not supplied with, I think we get this with a later delivery. Construction phase 4 - The exhaust systemNow we take the silencer 4-3 and align it as seen. Then we put the left heat exchanger 4-1 in the muffler as shown. Be careful not to break anything. We will do the same with the right heat exchanger. We put the two motor plates on each other and screw them with two SP05 screws. Then we put these plates on the heat exchanger. Make sure that the attachment points interlock. The whole thing is screwed with two SO04 screws. Phase 5 - The backrest of the driver's seatThe backrest has a hole on one side, where we carefully insert the handle 5-3. From above, we then put both headrest mounts in the backrest. This is followed by the headrest 5-2. We then put it carefully in the holders.
