 Managed to track this kit down at a very reasonable price, the WNW W29 Hansa Brandenberg kit is long out of production so the only way to get this aircraft is out of someones stash or in the Duelist kit above now although WNW has just made the W12 Hansa available but this is the bi-plane and not the W29 single wing example although both are lookers in my eyes. The kit denoted by the 'Duelists' tag has two aircraft that dueled in the 1st WW the aircraft in the kit being the early Felixstowe F.2a and the German Hansa-Brandenburg floatplane fighter. I have to say the Felixstowe was sorta doomed from the start with 6 fighters attacking in line and the Felixstowes forward gunner being taken out by the first couple of shots in the first attack pass. With the HKM and the upcoming WNW Lanc out there to me this is my prefered model dont get me wrong im sure the Lancs are fine models but this beast at 91 cm wingspan is my holy grail of kits. The wings are designed to be removable from the outer engines for transport and ease of display in a display case. I can do a kit reveiw if any one is interested. Here you go Kieth. This is a big kit box wise and content the Felistowe F.2a when built will have a wingspan of 91 cm so its a good thing the wings have been designed to be removable from the engines outwards to make it easyer to transport and store. Lets start with the box Wingnuts usual packing is a cardboard base and the lid of thin card but on this kit both are made of cardboard. The review will take part in two sections starting with the Hansa Brandenburg W.29. Lets start with the wings unlike most wingnut kits the wings for the Hansa are of a thicker section so you get a more conventional assembly in this kit with an upper and lower section but as always the detail of the wing tapes and other detail has been retained there is also a steel spar included in the kit for the wings. The Felixstowe sprues are of a lighter grey plastic than the darker Hansa sprue's so making it easyer to not mix up the parts for each kit. We start with the two R R Eagle engine sprue's lots of detail again here for the Felixstowes power houses.Next comes several sprue's that hold the fuselage outer and inner details lots of high class moulding here.At the bottom of the box we find the thick double kit instructions in the usual Wingnuts format with actual pictures of the aircraft ect. Yes I would second Andys comments if you only ever build one early airplane then make it a Wingnut Wings kit.I think they beat even Tamiya for instructions,detail and fit.

Yeah, I agree with what you say guys, even though I've not yet built one! However, I do have my eye on a particular WnW kit as a possible first foray into building one of their models.
