STAGE 71 – THE SEAT

PICTURES 11 & 12

In this stage we get:

The Seat

This is safely stored away until its called for later in the build.

We also need the following parts:

PICTURE 13, 17 & 18

From Stage 42 – Oil Tank

From Stage 42 – Battery

From Stage 66 – 2 Battery Caps

PICTURES 14 & 15

Carefully thread the wires attached to the oil tank up through the space in the frame where the seat will be fitted at a later stage.

PICTURE 16

The oil tank is secured in position (as arrowed in this picture) using 2 of the longer Type “P” screws.

PICTURES 17 & 18

Taking the battery, we press fit the 2 battery caps into position.

PICTURE 19

Being very careful not to trap any of the wires we press the battery into its position on the frame.

Its all quite a nice tight fit.

STAGE 72 – THE PILLION SEAT

PICTURE 20

In this stage we get: (but again do not use at this stage)

The Pillion Seat

PICTURE 21

We also need the following parts:

From Stage 47 – The Brake Parts

The Main Assembly

PICTURE 22

We start by press fitting the rubber pedal to the brake pedal itself.

PICTURES 23 & 24

While not impossible we now fix the Brake Cable Support to the frame using a Type “I” type screw.

This screw uses the 4-arm spanner that we were provided with earlier in the build.

Because the footrest is in place you can only turn the spanner less than a quarter turn so it was a little fiddly to get the bracket in place.

And that is all we need to do with this pack.

While we do have all of the required parts to complete the brake pedal installation I will wait until the next pack and use the instructions to complete that.

Until the next time Stay Safe and Happy Modelling.
