So for some mysterious reason my build log of the terror disappeared from the face of the earth much like the real thing, maybe someone will find it in 160 years time . Anyway I have decided to relaunch the build ,I still have some of the original photos and will post these a few at a time for the next few days then carry on from where I left off to where i am now. nightwisher attached the following image(s): Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!

Thanks for the encouragement Alan Martyn and Mark .It really is a great kit for the money very similar to an artesania latina kit ,the only thing I can find fault with is the sails are way too thick anyway here are some more pics showing the hull planking File Attachment(s): nightwisher attached the following image(s): Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!

Thanks for looking in and leaving comments. These next pics bring us up to where my original diary got to ,the iron plating was added and the hull was painted black and white with some rust weathering to distinguish the plating. The chainplates we also added using strips of plasticard instead of the supplied wire. Thanks for the lovely comment guys . Have been making steady progress in the months since my diary disappeared unfortunately I haven't been taking pictures so I took her outside today for a photo shoot. I have stuck mainly to the kit instructions with just a few tweaks like using walnut for the deck furniture. I also decided to hold back with the boats ,chimneys and davits as long as I can so they don't get in the way of rigging . The lower shrouds are now complete next will be the upper ones ,hope you like her. Thanks for commenting guys . I have no idea why some pics didn't upload they were all the same size. Anyway I thought I would have a go at painting the boats these were white metal castings and although I didn't like them that much they don't look too bad under paint File Attachment(s): nightwisher attached the following image(s): Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!
