Hi everyone this will be a diary on my strip down and rebuild of my Tiger 1 which my late father bought me for Christmas 1977, i`ll be adding bits too it and i don`t no yet if i will re-use the motors on it or leave as a static modelConfused stay tuned for more regards PhilCool

So as i said this kit is from the 70`sBlink so it has took some knocks over the years and is missing parts and i`ve sourced some new parts from fellow modelers and even got a full decal sheet ,but the gun barrel was too expensive from abber and so i got one from shapeways at half the price,also got some etch sets coming and Eureka tow ropes as wellDrool looking for some jerry cans and tools if anyone can helpConfused more soon PhilCool (pics of the gun barrel)Drool

Still need any car truck engine gearbox shocks propshafts guys (any old model broken etc)Confused So totally stripped down now and started to make templates and fill in various partsBigGrin like on the sponsons and holes for the motorised parts scored on another tank which is broken but has parts for mine also decal sheet and a figureDrool Drool which i`m going to use for its equipment for inside the tankBigGrin more soon PhilCool

It all seems to be pulling apart ok.

I think you were saying you made this many years ago so is that disassemble due to the glues used at that time do you think.

Remember that old airfix/britfix from years ago they called "cement" it never really melted and welded the plastic as the newer glues tend to.

You could squeeze a joint - not always meaning to- and the whole model would come apart.

Hope it continues well.

Yes i think you are right about the glue TonyBlink as there didn`t seem to be glued in parts Blink and it easily sands off and comes away BigGrin regards PhilCool
