ISSUE ONE I intend to incorporate this model with the HMS Endeavour model that I am building on this forum. The HMS Endeavour is 1/48 scale and the Endeavour Longboat is 1/50 scale, so with a bit of luck they will not be to far apart, I chose this route because I felt the Quality of the Eaglemoss Longboat would be lacking. I must say the De Ag model is great quality, and the instructions are excellent. Hi MWG!  That crafty Mike the difference between the scale 1/50 and 1/48 is only 17.5mm in the length of the boat. This longboat kit does look better, as you know the egalemoss Endeavour lacks in quality and this is a good idea to improve it even if you need to put it next to the ship instead of on the ship. I to have the eaglemoss Endeavour partwork and might do the same getting this kit would add some much needed detail, I'm keeping this partwork until I have all the parts for a full kit bashing project. Hi Mike, Looks like it is going to be a cool build Mike and I think when you have finished you should send a picture or two to Eaglemoss and tell them that they need to up their game if they want to compete with DeAg on quality !! Well done for thinking of using this kit to better the Eaglemoss effort, for that is what modelling is all about and where most of the fun lies - adapting something until it satisfies your need and gives the look you are after !! Hi MWG, The Endeavour Longboat was my first build last year. I bought it as a complete kit. The only problems I found with it were trying to understand the rigging instructions (yes I know it is only a small model)I had to follow the pictures on the box. The masts and booms came in 3 m/m material instead of 4 m/m and there was a shortage of rigging thread. Quite a few people have done this kit and there are some pictures of their efforts on this forum. happy glueing Peter completed..... Endeavour Longboat, San Francisco 2, Virginia 1819
