Hi guys, building the Samba I’m thinking I would like to put colour on the seating. Looking at life sized Sambas there seems to be a lot having the centre panels of the seating the same as the exterior colour. Not sure best way to do it as the seating is of a soft rubber consistantcy. Any ideas would be helpful. Main concern would be if I mess up would I be able to get replacements as this build is not on a weekly buy. Andy.

Initial thought would be some thing along the lines of a self adhesive material and if its a vinyl type finish you are after what about some sort of sticky backed plastic - the old fablon type product for example? That would allow you to remove it if you did not like the result. Tony Happy Modelling

Yes worth a try Tony. Seating being soft , paint may crack if pressed. Some experimenting to be done. Andy.

Perhaps consider a fabric paint? Of necessity, they are flexible. Tired, Old, and Cranky!

How about panels of very thin leather backed with D/S tape? I will conform to the seat shape easily and will then give the look of half-leather trim...

Like the sound of leather Roy. Your builds always look great with leather seating. Cheers for the idea. Andy.
