Hey folks, figured I ought to introduce myself, Tai here.

I picked up a model-space r2 kit with the intention of using it as a framework to build upon, replacing the stock internals with a raspberry pi running custom code. Makes for a great name too! Flapper Figured it would be a fun way to get some electronics and hardware skills.

I am pretty close on finishing the stock build, looking to turn it on in a couple of weeks, depending upon batteries and charging and all the fun stuff. Hopefully that goes smoothly so that I have a baseline of what works. Blink

After that I've got a challenging road ahead of me of micro-controllers, wiring, motors, some cool hardware sensors I've gotten my hands on and who knows what else - should be stimulating anyway. I hope to post some amusing adventures along the way.

Cheers, and may your R2 never die!
