Hi Guys
I have collected 83 issues of build the victory so far. As i am still finshing a radio controll model of the Bismarck, which is nearly compleated.
I thought i would make a start on the stern crest moulding of the victory
inbetween doing some bits of my bismarck.
attached are some images of the results.

Hi Ian, thanks for sharing. There is little problem with your second photo. It is completly out of focus. Could you retake it and repost it please? All details of your precision painting are gone becouse of this.

Hi guys
I am doing my Victory in the painted version, with copper bottomed hull.
i have started with the keel and ribs first as i have loads of issues.
I will be doing the Cannon, Anchor and the launch as a evenning project later on.
I have made the complete keel section and attached it to a build board.
also have made the ribs upto issue 12.
The ribs in attached photos are only dry fitted on the keel.

Hi Ian, my that brings back memories, looking great Ian, I felt at this stage it helped to put Balsa Fillets In the Bow and Stern, and later on along the base of the Hull between the ribs, but then you know how I love BalsaBigGrin Laugh Laugh Love

Hi Ian, nice to see your build mate, it is looking good. As for rib 15, some of us found it necessary to build up the frame so that it was level with the keel...I used some spare 2mm x 3mm planking soaked in hot water for 20 mins or so then secured the wet planks onto the frame and allowed the planks to dry in place...then sanding it down even with the keel...
BigGrin
Enjoy your build mate...and keep the pictures coming...ThumpUp

Looking good Ian.

Is the cross-member of your Anchor the right way up? I thought the straight edge needs to be at the top?
