PACK 3
STAGE 15
This set of parts completes the front suspension.
It is all very straight-forward but there is again, an element of ‘three hands’ needed.
Also, it should be noted that the front uprights really must have the lower screws done up sufficiently tight, but still allowing the upright to swivel.
If these screws are the slightest bit loose, the upper springs and shock absorbers will fall out every time the car is lifted up.
STAGE 16
This is a repeat of building and trimming the driver seat back that has already been detailed.
Bear in mind the seats can be covered in either leather of fabric, or even painted using vinyl paint.
STAGE 17
These parts assemble into one of the rear wheels.
Remember to paint the wheel to match those at the front if you painted them – unlike me, who assembled the wheel and only later noticed it didn’t match the ones I had made for the front…
STAGE 18
This pack contains the rear sub frame.
There is no assembly to be done here but like the front sub frame, you can weather it using red oxide primer, or brown and black spray cans.
Remember to only add a light misting of paint.
‘Less is more’ as they say.
STAGE 19
These parts are for the start of the rear suspension.
Again, it is a very straight forward assembly but watch that the stub axle doesn’t fall out of the suspension arm as it isn’t fixed in place until the rear wheel (correctly painted…) is fitted much later in the build. Take care not to lose any loose parts and store them away safely.
Again, all of these parts can receive light weathering before fitting them together.
STAGE 20
The parts to complete the passenger seat, already previously described for the driver seat in the earlier build section.
STAGE 21
The other door outer panel is in this set of parts.
Once again, the panel can be customised to match the other door.
In this case, a further decal has been put in place before fitting the door handle.
This time however, the decal didn’t want to conform properly to the door handle recess.
When the decal was nearly dry, a cross-cut was made in door handle area and the decal was pressed into position. When fully dry, the area was carefully touched in using different shades of enamel paint.
STAGE 22
These parts are for completing one side of the rear suspension.
As before the parts should be lightly weathered to match the rest of the chassis and associated components.
Bear in mind that the weathering out to be applied from an angle of the front to rear, to replicate how dirt and dust actually hits the underside of a real car.
STAGE 23
These parts will complete the windows and outer door panel, again, previously described for the driver door.
Take care with the assembly so that you do not scratch or mark the clear windows.
Store the door section carefully until the inner panel is fitted.

This is looking fantastic. I’m curious how you’ll tie all the body panels together.
Your decals are seriously opaque. Do you print your own, and if so, on what kind of printer?

Yes, I print my own decals. My printer is an ancient HP 960 which now commands a lot of money second hand since they discontinued it about 10+ years ago.
It prints very high quality and very even.
