Is the female plug on the end of the LED engine light strip called a JST connector? 2.54mm 2pin?

It is a JST connector, Japan Solderless Terminal, and the female is on the end of the LED that will slot into the male. As for the size there are various sizes for the JST connectors. Can’t remember what size they were but using a ruler might help you.

here is a website with a chart to help you identify exactly which size jst connector you have. I use them all the time for electronics projects and you can buy mating pairs on amazon and ebay
