I've had a replacement for the projector board from issue 27 as once built the projector wouldn't work, I have replaced the projector board but I still just get a white circle with no projection, has anyone else had this and managed to find a fix? It worked fine when tested before finalizing the build.

Check the cables in the main board located in the dome, particularly the mic and camera sockets. Regards Mark

Thanks, I have checked all the connections in the head, disconnected and reconnected, can't remember which one the mic is, the camera is a ribbon connector and connected and working fine. Still no luck with the projector though

A very common issue for this is the ribbon cable from the screen to the main projector board becoming dislodged during transit. Where the cable attaches into the socket on the board, very carefully flick it open (look for vids on youtube how to disconnect a ribbon cable) gently pop out the ribbon and re seat it again in the socket, ensure it is fully located and close the locking bar back down. This solved many of the problems other people had Building:

I am also amongst the many that have a faulty projector. Having tried all the ideas presented in this and other threads, I ordered a new one. They claim about 3 weeks but it could be months. My question is, can I finish the model and still be able to replace the projector when it comes or should I put a hold on the assembly once I get to the installation.
This is a quick build and I could be ready within a few days.

Iran Ausley I would certainly hold back on finishing the dome section where the projector is placed. Fitting a new one would entail dismantling some of the parts if you choose to complete it. Personally I would refrain from handling the main board too much, in case any damage is caused by unplugging cables that are attached to it, but that would be your decision. Mark
