And the Master (MR T) will always be no one in my eyes. If I am honest its nice to have as a reminder that I have supported Model Space forum, over approx 2 years to the exclusion of other Forums, I feel comfortable with MS Forum in general and its members in particular, it works for me.Cool

Totally agree I have abandoned all other forums also. I find this forum really friendly and have it open as much as possible. Its nice to share a hobby with like minded people, share and learn. I don't class myself as a great model builder , there are certainly better on this forum, but I love what I do and watching what everybody else does its inspiring.Cool

BigGrin Hello Mike,

I have been away from home and my computer for a few days, so have missed what's been happening and only just caught up with it all. Firstly congatulations on going purple - you can stop doing that and breath normally now LOL LOL - and congrats on nearly completing your Airfix Zero. I have also come home and found my first Zero pack waiting for me and I have to say the quality is all that it was said to be, very good. I won't be doing much with mine for a month or two though as I am collecting all the engine parts and also trying to complete another project, but will eventually get cracking on it.

Interesting that on your Airfix Zero you have painted the front face of the prop silver and the rear face black ?? Is that how the instructions stated to do it, as I wasn't aware that the blade was a different colour on each side, though I presume if that is how it was in reality then it would be to prevent glare in the pilot's eyes from a flashing silver prop blade ??

Hi KevBigGrin Thank your for your congrats,I thought you had been busy.

Airfix stated the colour scheme of the propeller, but in my Aero Detail 7 book it confirms this colour scheme, although it shows other land based aircraft and other models with different props using brown, black, siver etc.

If you need any info you only need to ask and I will consult the oracleBigGrin

Just got to decal the little Zero and all finished

Welcome back

bear metal and black is also the Tamiya suggested scheme. I recon you are right about the anti glare would make lots of sense.

BigGrin Hi Jase,

Would be the same reason why most aircraft - particularly those with bare metal finishes - have matt Black or Dark Green 'Anti-glare' panels on top of the fuselage, just in front of the cockpit.
