I reckon we are probable 2 weeks away before they start "shooting people".
I have a week off at the moment but my work area has been classed as "critical" so I will be working and not driving makes it darn difficult at the best of times to do shopping.
I normally order for myself and my 86 year old mother from Sainsburys but that is not an option with no available slots.
The only easy to reach shop from me is a smallish Co-op.
Popped in there yesterday and like most places just about zero on the shelfs. What they had just had delivered was a small qty of toilet rolls (can you believe we are talking about these as if they were a precious gold bar).
Two cushell packs left on the shelf and a small line of older people waiting in line to collect one.
What do I get next? and elbow in the ribs from some woman no older than about 20, baseball cap on back to front, pushing me out of the way and a much older chap in front of me.
She grabbed both packs and was away.
I think in all the years I have shopped this is the first time I have ever been "assaulted".
Just wonder when we will getthe first reports of:
1. someone mugged for the shopping they have just purchased
2. The first house break in were the yobs go in looking for food to steal.
I guess putting a positive spin on things you have to extend your sympathies to the Shop Lifters - as there is nothing left for them to pinch.
