After going through the whole debacle with Bissett magazines in Australia, things have been somewhat normal for a while now. Although I haven't received some standard free gifts (R2-D2 coffe mug and Notebook/pen) and I was meant to receive the C3P0 figurine in my last delivery.
I spoke with customer service last night, and they are sorting out the gifts for me.
My biggest problem is issue 8, it has been on back order for almost 12 months now, and they can not tell me when it is going to be in stock, I'm up to issue 59, and have held off my build waiting.
I'm starting to think that they are no longer making or going to make these issues anymore. Customer service actually suggested that I look elsewhere "ebay etc" to purchase the issue.
Does anyone have an insight into this? I read online that it is a very common problem with multiple builds.
Does anyone have issue 8 they could sell me?
Should I cut my losses with this issue, and buy it elsewhere?
Sorry for the rant, this has become frustrating and very disappointing.

I'm from the same R2 'Bissett-of-Oz' boat. Not as bad as you, i'm missing a recent issue that's on back order (62 from memory). Other than that all is running ok. No shipment this month - mainly due to covid restrictions in the UK. If I was you I'd buy the issue 8 off ebay. They rarely come up. I checked today and there is just one available from the UK. Heavy shipping price, but at least you would have the peace of mind of continuing the build. Might take a while to get here as there's currently limited cargo flights from the UK to Oz. Ps. Also missing all the free R2 gifts, but not really concerned. I just want to finish my little R2 unit. Also, currently on another build I decided to go the 'newsagent route' and this has been great, everything on-time and in stock week after week. Your missing issue will be provided but with the covid this has obviously put things back and may take some time to arrive but it will get to you. You do have the option of looking on fleabay for your issue and I did find this one- https://www.ebay.com/itm...EW-SEALED-/254433781710
I am in the UK so ignore the might not post option this may be a way forward for you to catch up. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

I bought the issue from the UK. The seller in the US wouldn’t sell internationally. Cost me roughly the price of three issues including freight  Even before covid-19 they advised they didn’t know when it would be back in stock. It’s been almost 2 years since my subscription started with Bissetts, I should be almost Finished the build by now. My next issues are 60-63, I hope i receive issue 62, but not holding out much hope now. I find it hard to believe that they would produce back issues if there is only a small demand, given That Australia is so far behind the UK and US, there wouldn’t be much demand coming from over here. Maybe someone knows more about how this works?

Spoke with customer support, and they’re going to refund me for issue 8, which is good.
Received my latest issues today and now issues 60 and 62 are on backorder.
I wonder how long I’m going to be waiting for those, considering it’s been over 12
Months with no sign of receiving issue 8.
On top of that, the binders and free gifts are all messed up.
Subscribers In Australia don’t even have an account we can log into to see
Some sort of glimpse of what’s going on with our subscriptions.
I’m more than a bit frustrated with this, and wondering if it’s worth it.

I received issue 8 from the UK (eBay) and have started building again YAY!
Up to issue 31, I’m not sure who’s more keen, my son or myself haha.
Can someone answer what is the situation with the back order issues being
Out of stock, are we waiting for them to be manufactured?
Considering this build has been available for a few years now, is it an issue
Of lack of demand? I’m trying to understand the process and whether there is
A risk of these issues becoming unavailable permanently.
