Would anyone share their technique for painting the Captian America helmet.
I will be modifying a 1/4 scale full-face helmet bought on ebay

Thanks.

I did the Captain America helmet. I bought the helmet that came with the Harley fat-Boy which is black.

I first masked off the rim and primed the helmet. The paints were mixed to the right colours I needed to match the bike.

First you paint it all white. Then make or get star templates and put them on the top, mask off the bottom and spray blue. Next, is to mask the top end and mask the stripes and paint red. When everything is dry, I used high gloss varnish with sparkle effect.

Here is the part of the build diary with pictures of it.

Thanks, Mark

I did see your build, that is what inspired me to get a 1/4 scale helmet.
I have only been able to find a full face from eBay. So I intend to cut it down and make good the cut edges.
Where might I find star templates or even white transfers?

My wife does card making and she had a star cutter. They are quite cheap. I found this link for one if you are interested.
