Pack 4Stage 16: The Port mainwheel. Stage 16 Contains: Tyre, Drum, Cap, Disk, Wheel axle rod, Sleeve, 2x IM Screws. Firstly, because the individual stages within the Pack are not marked, make sure you have the correct stage. This can be done by looking at the wheel axle rod. With the axle rod pointing upwards, and the stub-axle facing you, the locating notch needs to point to the right (see image 2 below).Place the tyre into a container of warm water. This helps to soften the rubber, making it easier to fit onto the drum. Carefully slide the drum into the tyre, making sure it is seated all the way around on both sides. Insert the wheel axle and rod into the hole in the disk, so that the locating stub sits in the slot. Fit the sleeve and secure with an IM screw. Insert the sleeve at the end of the assembly into the drum. Finally, fit the cap into the drum and push home. This completes Stage 16. Store any unused parts in a stage-labelled bag for future use. Stage 17: The Port main landing gear. Stage 17 Contains: Port main landing gear, Port main landing gear suspension, Mounting bracket, Suspension lower link, Suspension upper link, Suspension spring, 2x DM screws, 2x JM screws, 3x DP screws, 3x EP screws, 2x CM screws. Again, we have two sets of almost identical stages, so care needs to be taken to note the correct stage within the Pack. The way to do this is to identify the upper and lower suspension links. These are stamped with 'L' and 'R'. Once these are identified, you are ready to proceed (see photo 2). Retrieve the assemblies from Stages 15 and 16. Secure the lower link to the wheel axle with a DP screw, noting the orientation of the part (the other end bends slightly to the right). Attach the upper link to the lower link with an EP screw. Insert the shock absorber spring into the main landing gear support, and then push the axle rod into the support and onto the spring. Secure the upper link to the support with a DP screw. Fix the mounting bracket to the support with an EP screw with the indent on the same side as the tyre. Place the end of the mainwheel hydraulics shaft into the bracket, and secure with a JM screw ( the screw coming through from the tyre side). Insert the end of the support into the port landing gear wall, placing the end of the support into the socket and secure with a DM screw. Using a CM screw, secure the hydraulic pivot to the end of the landing gear wall. Check that the landing gear can move both away and towards the wall. This completes Stage 17. Store any unused or leftover parts in a stage-labelled bag for future use. CaptnBirdseye attached the following image(s):

Stage 18: The starboard mainwheel hydraulics. Stage 18 Contains: Starboard landing gear wall, Starboard mainwheel hydraulics mount, Hydraulics shaft, Pivot, hydraulics cylinder, 2x HM screws. Insert the pins of the starboard mainwheel hydraulics mount into the holes in the starboard mainwheel hydraulics cylinder, pressing both parts together. Insert the starboard mainwhheel hydraulics pivot into the end of the cylinder, noting the orientation, and secure with a HM screw. carefully insert the hydraulics shaft into the cylinder (again i used a toothpick with a screwing motion until seated). Test that the shaft can move in and out of the cylinder. This completes Stage 18. Store any unused or leftover parts in a stage-labelled bag for future use. Stage 19: The Starboard mainwheel. Stage 19 Contains: Tyre, drum, Cap, Drive, Wheel axle and rod, Sleeve, 2x IM screws. Place the tyre into a container of hot water to soften it. When pliant, remove it out of the water and carefully insert the drum into it making sure that the tyre is seated on the drum all the way around on both sides. Insert the wheel axle and rod into the hole in the disk. Fit the sleeve onto the axle and fix in place with an IM screw. Insert the sleeve at the end of the assembly into the drum. Fit the cap into the other side of the drum, making sure both sides are fully pushed home. This completes Stage 19. Store any unused or leftover parts in a stage-labelled bag for future use. Stage 20: The Starboard main landing gear. Stage 20 Contains: Starboard main landing gear, Starboard main landing gear suspension, Mounting bracket, Suspension lower link, Suspension upper link, Suspension spring, 2x DM screws, 2x JM screws, 3x DP screws, 3x EP screws, 2x CM screws. Retrieve the assemblies from Stages 18 and 19. Secure the lower link to the wheel axle with a DP screw, noting the orientation of the part (the other end bends slightly to the left). Attach the upper link to the lower link with an EP screw. Insert the shock absorber spring into the main landing gear support, and then push the axle rod into the support and onto the spring. Secure the upper link to the support with a DP screw. Fix the mounting bracket to the support with an EP screw so that the indent is on the same side as the tyre. This completes Stage 20 and Pack 4. Store any unused or leftover parts in a stage-labelled bag for future use. CaptnBirdseye attached the following image(s):
