So on with the build, the roof isn't that well put together. There no real strength in the corners of the joints just ply against ply

Here is how they would have you put it together.

The side wall sitting on the inside edge of the roof, ok that seams ok.





Except they didn't allow for the hight difference when they did the but joints.




Which put the walls out of alinement.

But this then gives me another problem...

The front sections would then be to short.








So, do I do it this way and add a strip along the bottom which I could hopefully hide when I cover the roof with the cardboard tiles, or do I cut the rear sections down 2-3mm so the aline with the side walls with out the piece of wood but this could cause the rear wall sections to then be to narrow left to right and end up with them not sitting in the centre support at the rear.

Next up was fitting the front sections, I wasn't looking forward to this as fitting hinges isn't my strong point but they went on fine.

Now they have you fit the hinges straight to the main frame thats fine. but they have you add a piece of wood to the inside of the front wall to allow for the screws, this seamed stupid to me as it would mean the front sections would stand well away from the house.

So I screwed mine straight to the house and to the front sections but added a piece of wood to the outside of the house. Sorry forgot to take a photo but you'll get the idea next.

This also meant the distance between the front section and the house was less with meant I could fill it with a piece of wood.

After with a piece of the wood I was meant to glue to the hinge.

next was the front door, I couldn't get the kit door I only had the front outer section so that wasn't worth adding so I decided to use one of the doors Brought for inside as I had some spares.





This of course meant the cut out wasn't correct so once I had the door in place I cut out and added some piece from the cut out piece and added them top and bottom.



The top section was something I made.

Don't think I had these sorts of problems with my one. Knew I should have taken more photos while I was building mine.

I did the red book version, I knew there was another one, after the one I built, but I didn't know about the other one. :)

So update, between this and my cross stitching its been busy

I worked out my little issue with the roof so thats all done except I just need to glue the top sections on and then the front sections with the hinges which again problem as the way they have them is stupid but I'll show what I'm doing later once there on.

So house with side section.



The roof is still loose so I can paint the inside frames.

And so I did the same with the rest of the summer house.

Your going well. Love the detail in the rooms so far. :)

So the roof section is all finished.

But a small hiccup has come up, the kit comes with two windows for the upper section.




But I have a spare one.
