Firstly apologies if this has already come up (I'm sure it has but can't find anything on it)

So the powers that be have determined that Victory was actually a lighter shade of yellow (almost pink) in 1805 - https://www.youtube.com/...9miVcHgylhk&t=285s. I have been looking into this a little bit and was wondering what peoples thoughts are about this?

On the one hand, the battle of Trafalgar painting shows it to be pretty yellow (painted only some 15 years after the battle). Furthermore, I've seen people mention studies that cite the lead-based paint discolors into pink.

But then on the other, this is a conclusion of a study supposedly by the best in the biz. It would just be nice to know more about their methods in determining this (all that's mentioned in the video above is that they looked at old samples)

I'd like to be as accurate as I can, and was if anyone had done more research on the matter?

Thanks for your input. I'm finishing up issue 39, so have a fair bit to go before needing to make the decision. I just don't want to do it in the new scheme and then have them turn around and go "ah, actually we were wrong"!
