So happy with the front plate on the drivers side but the mg 34 is not good the ball mount is awfull so i made one from milliput, just a simple ball pushed into the opening then once cured drilled to the right size and the barrel will be replaced with a Abber one , i Also started with the Zimmerit which is from Atak in Poland it is resin and comes on 3 sheets which you simply cut each pre moulded piece from the sheet sand off the backing and apply to the model i used uhu glue here as its cure time gives you enough time to manover the piece in place , and it`s a very easy process and really a time saverCool

Next i moved onto the Turret , and like the hull the hatch for the loader is moulded on and the commanders postion is also closed off with the cuppola a separate part ,so needed to open these up the commanders position was simple enough but looking at the loaders hatch was daunting as the hatch and its surround was all one piece ,so i scoured the internet trying to find not only a hatch but the surround aswellBlink the hatch was pretty easy to find, as you can get all these in white metal but not the surround , i almost had to rethink this until when i was looking at 120mm figures, i found a commander and loader diorama figure set and the loader came with the hatch and surroundCool SavedBigGrin i chose to use the surround but i bought a white metal hatch ,so on with the surgery Crying below are picture off before and after , chain drilling filing and filling Cool

Continuing on with the turret i opened the vision port for the loader on the roof and filed off the loaders and gunners side vision ports cause you get these in the zimmerit set along with the escape hatch and gun mantlet ,i then applied the zimmerit to the turret

BigGrin The mods are making all the difference to this kit, and the gun barrel is a million times better than the one supplied ThumpUp . You’ve made a good job of scratch-building the ventilator, and I do like those hatches as well. Keep it up Phil
