Im partway through the build. Before assembling the engine I thought I would rig up the working electrics to check out the functions.

All working OK except very disappointing low volume from the engine. I realise that when the speaker is fitted inside cover it will sound a little louder.

Like to hear what others think about this.

I have not built this kit, but many small speakers require a box enclosure to amplify their sound so you may find when it is fitted into the base it is louder.

It’s like a guitar, in that the box does indeed amplify the sound. However, it will still sound a bit tinny.
