Well, took the plunge today. 24 months is a long haul. Will read all, have the GT-40 book on the way. Hope to detail as I did on the Easy Rider. This one is for my youngest grandson.

First shipment arrived. All looked good.
As you all know you just put the hood assembly aside. I did spray headlight buckets flat black and plan to do the same to the headlight rims.
Question, is the interior of the hood ( bonnet ) painted flat black. The hood was fiberglass so it would not have been left raw.
Do we have a paint number for the Gulf Blue? Hopefully a brand hobby bottle match?
Carbs went together as advertived. I did use a bit of oil paint wash to dirty things up a little.
