I've been tasked with this one for someone who is into Jaguar race cars.
Dick Protheroe's famous CUT 8.

A peculiar paint scheme - a mix of dark metallic grey and light blue...
It's going to be based on the big Revell kit but with the usual mods and additions to get it like the race car.
On we go...

I've assembled the main engine parts so far and added different ignition leads and a lead clamp as well as triple Weber carbs. Some wiring in place but far more to do.

Nice work on that engine Roy, looking good. I particularly like the flow of those ignition leads across the top of the engine. They also look good in red rather than the usual black, I think it gives a nice accent to the top of the engine.

Good stuff. Cool ThumpUp

Many thanks for following along you chaps.

I've now got the engine fitted into the front frame but there is quite a lot of missing tubing still to be added.
The interior floor part has been altered to look more like the inside of the real car and I've trimmed it in blue leather to match (ish) the only interior picture I could find. Fire extinguisher tank still to be made.

On we go...

Looking great Roy. The fitting of bespoke leather trim to the interiors of model cars is fast becoming your very own 'signature' skill and always looks very professional in it's finish.

Keep up the good work and keep those updates flowing. Well done. Cool ThumpUp

Looking good so far. Nice start on the kit. I cant wait to see how you convert the left hand driver position the mo0del was made in to the right hand drive for the race car.
Best Regards,
Ron

Once again, many many thanks for looking in you chaps, and the very kind words.

I've fitted the firewall, added the missing end panels and boxed in the two footwell sections so I can swap the required parts left to right, to change over the LHD of the kit, to the RHD of the actual car.

This also involves swapping the dash over.
First, the dash support panel had to be chopped up and the pieces swapped over.
I've cast a correct racing dash in resin so those parts can be fitted and painted soon...
