BigGrin Great idea with the jig. Does it hold it down securely, or just resting?

Held in firmly with six locking screws. Two on each end and two on the sides. Really happy with the results… thus far. I’ll put up more pics after I install the module.

Short 60 second video showing making and testing the jig. :-)

AA guns, wing bridges and railings installed. Issue 87.

I also added silicon grease to the AA guns and wing bridges to stop them flapping / wobbling around.

Spot the difference...

First batch of crew have arrived on deck. 20 or so installed, another 100 to go.

I've just applied randomly at the moment. I'll set their final positions when she sets sail.

Adds another dimension to the build.

Hi Simon,
I see you have used cable ties for cable management. Is this in the instructions or did you put these on as your own idea?

Hi Glenn, my idea. I run a tight ship. :-)

I just had to give the front gun some more slack in the cable so the turret could turn freely. No probs now. Looks neater, and i like neat things.

Just starting on the rear of the ship. Looks like a lot of blending to be done on the different deck portions. You can really see the difference between weathered and non weathered parts of the superstructure. Looks like a Xmas job for me. :-)

So just pulled out the old Pentax 35mm SLR and threw in a 12 exposure B&W film (chose an 800 iso to get some nice grain in the photos), Took some snaps and hoped for the best, whizzed down to Rabbit photo for their one hour processing and bang here we are. Although nowadays it's just an iphone snap with some basic post processing. :-) The final weathering will be done over the Xmas period. By then we'll have the hull finished here in Oz, and hopefully I can match the decking panels so they look seamless... somehow.

I love this build of yours Simon, it looks fantastic and those figures just make it look so realistic especially when they are photographed in black and white, very reminiscent of some of those old WW2 period photos!

Well done! Cool ThumpUp
