Wings closing problem Options

Got to the place of connecting all wires up and wings .Lights all ok etc but wings open ok ( put shim inplace as per mods ) but will not close .Took it all apart and checked motor .Motor running ok but can someone tell me is it supposed to turn both ways ie one way to open wings the other to close wings Thanks guys .

Just to explain a bit more . My motor cog seems to go only one way , have reconnected all wires to check seated ok .

I would check the sockets 13 &14. 14 connects to the switch that detects whether the wings are open and 13 detects when they are closed. The switch may not be connecting.

I assume you have stage 74 complete and have attached the last mains power cable to the board before testing the electronics.

Yes i am up to issue 75 . Will recheck connections again but i could not see anything wrong there .

Well done some more trials and testing . Just put bottom 2 wings together . opens fine and stops , closes okay now but will not cut out . Took wings off and tested switches . When looking from the side with motor running and you press bottom switch (14) motor stops however with motor running when you press the top switch (13) nothing happens motor keeps spinning . So is it a fault with the board or switch . Any ideas please

The fact everything else works on the board, I would say it is a problem with the switch.
Best option is to request a replacement from c/s.

I agree with Mark.One thing I would check is the socket where the microswitch plugs in to the board just to make sure the pins in that socket are not bent, but it does sound like you may have a faulty microswotcih.

Thanks will get on it tomorrow . Looking at the switch i cannot see anything amiss unless te wire is broken somewhere along its length

yes you wont be able to test the microswitch without a multimeter.
