We went from winter to Winter to Spring in about a month. We’ll usually get snow in April and May, sometimes in June. I’m looking forward to Wednesday, seeing a friend, haven’t seen since September. He’s a serious modeller, but then I guess we all are.

Stage 61; The dashboard

Install the radio cover, ashtray cover and the ash tray as shown. Haven’t seen an ashtray in a car for a long time. On to the Caravan. Put the roof panel onto the right side wall with 3CP screws. Once the outside wall is secure, Put the inside wall in with 7IP screws.

Stage 62; The speedometer

Put the speedometer dial face into the housing and secure with 2EP screws. 140 KPH, a two cylinder wonder. I used tweezers to gently press the lite into the back of the dial. The curtain goes onto the curtain rod, and into the pre-drilled holes above the window.

Stage 63; Left Caravan wall

We start the Stage with the dash board switch. The parts sure look different colored in the instructions. Put the button switch into the only circular hole left on the dash. Orient the switch so that the flat goes down. Pass the switch wire thru the housing and secure it by bending the prongs on the switch over the bar on the housing. Secure the switch and housing with a CP screw. Back to the Caravan. Insert the pins on the roof panel into the holes on the left Caravan wall. Secure the side wall with 3CP screws.

Stage 64; The dashboard

Put the button switch into its location with the white switch indicator up. Attach the switch as shown.There is a hole in the back of the button switch that the switch goes into. Secure with 2CP screws. Back to the Caravan. Put the side reflectors together. Check for sprue tabs on the orange lenses, sand if necessary.

Stage 65; Left Caravan window

First, mount the air intake chamber to the bulkhead with 2KP screws. Be careful not to pinch any wires. No holes left in the dash, it must be done. Mount the Caravan window to its location with 4EP screws.
