Hi All, BigGrin

This is not a modelling exercise as such, more an indication of how 3D printers can make useful items for day to day use, but thought it may be interesting.

Making home-brew is my other passion Blink Blink and I`ve found that some of the barrel taps have a lack of control. This being due to all the parts being made from a nylon type material and they tend to stick as you open the tap and then are difficult to get accurate control on.

So I`ve designed and printed a 3D extension that turns the rotary tap into a lever controlled tap.

I think that this idea could be very adaptable to virtually any tap head and be a great aid to anyone who has problems with their hands. Arthritis for example.

Pic 1: the rotary tap.

Pic 2: the lever adaptor showing the lug inside that grips the tap head.

Pic 3: the lever placed on the tap showing how they lock together.

Pic 4: shows the tap in the open position.

The lever adaptor does give better control over the rotary tap, in fact I`ll have to go and give it another test.LOL Flapper LOL .

Simple but very effective.
