Pack 19, Stages 91-95

Again, I have to apologize because of the lack of work space. The build will be split again into parts, Caravan first, then the Fiat. The Caravan section of the build will attach interior parts to the floor. The Fiat will have the engine cover and related parts will be assembled and attached to the Fiat. On to the Caravan.

Stage 91, Front seat

The front seat will be taken out of the bag. That’s it.

Stage 92, Caravan front seat

Attach the front seat base to the cushion with 2DP screws. Secure the front seat base and cushion to the floor with 2DP screws.

Stage 93, Caravan left seat base

Remove the base from the bag.

Stage 94, Left Caravan seat

Attach the seat base to the cushion with 3CP screws.

Stage 95, Caravan left seat

Secure the seat back to the seat base with 3CP screws. Now attach the completed left seat to the floor with 3CP screws. On to the Fiat.

Cover your work space with a soft cloth to reduce any chance of scratching the finished parts.

Stage 91, Engine compartment cover

This stage will put the spring lock together for the engine cover. Put the lock, 91B into the slot. Use a KP screw to attach the lock to the engine cover. Tighten just enough to allow the lock to slide in the slot. Place the spring on the flange edge of the screw and compress it to the back of the spring slot. The spring will be covered and held in place in Stage 93. Keep track of the spring until then.

Stage 92, Engine cover grills

.
Place the grills into the grill cutouts. They are marked left and right, they will also be held in place by the engine cover reinforcement in Stage 93.

Stage 93, Engine cover

Put the inner engine cover in place and secure it with 4AM screws and 2GM screws as shown. The spring for the lock and the grills should be secure at this time.

Stage 94, Fitting the engine cover

I think that the most important part of this Stage is the orientation of the two hinges and the two hinge blocks. Pay close attention to the steps 2and 4 in this Stage to correctly orient the hinges and blocks. Once the hinges and blocks are secured with 2RM screws each, mount the engine cover to the body as shown with 2MM screws each.

Stage 95, Badges and engine cover stop

The badges are regular decals. In cold water they will release in 10 to 15 seconds. Place as shown. Tweezers and a Q-tip will be helpful. Tweezers will help in the placement of the decals and the Q-tip rolled across the decals when on the car will help set them. Not sure what part the string plays as the bonnet stop, but thread and loop as shown. Attach stop loop, 95D and the bonnet stop, the string to the inner engine panel as shown with 2OP screws.

This completes Pack 19.
