I'd like to eliminate the battery compartment and use USB power or power mod for theGT40, any advice appreciated. Pack 23 is arriving tomorrow, I called Model Space to ask for pack 24 but I was told it was on backorder and to call in two weeks to if restock has arrived .

You require 4.5 volt usb charging lead as a power source correctly terminated at the +/- Do not go over this voltage as this is maximum output required Good luck

Eagle- please bear in mind that anything like this will void the warranty on the motherboard, and as such, will not be replaced FoC.

Thanks: I did not know there was a warranty on the motherboard! How long is the warranty in effect?

In the past, it was pretty liberal. But, model kit motherboards are pretty far down on the chip radar, so it’s become a lot more stringent. But, in general, a year ish.
