It’s the middle of November and the clean-up from the earlier storms
is done. All the critters are out again trying to fill their food
storage for the winter. It’s still unusually cold for this time of the
year. The forecast is for temperatures to slowly begin to rise over the
next few weeks. Hope everyone is hanging in there!

On to the build, Box 5, the right side wheel well and cooling system

Pack 5

Step 3&4 Put the oil tank together and secure it on the mounting post with 1 CP screw.
Step 5 Put the oil cap into the hole in the top of the tank

Stage 14 is complete..


Stage 15 Assembling and mounting the right wheel well.

Step 1 Secure the top mount of the shock absorber to the wheel well with 3 GM screws.
Step 2 Mount the shock post to the wheel well using 1MM screw.
Step 3 Put the electronic control box together. Mount it on the post and secure with 1CP screw.
Step 4 Carefully insert the tube into the into the 90* wiring terminal. Put it into the top hole of the control box. The other terminal goes into the lower hole.
Step 5,6&7 Find the locating pin on the frame in line with the shock body and set the wheel well on to it Secure the wheel well to the frame with 3 EM screws and one GM screw.
Step 8 press the shock top cap into place.

Stage 15 is done.


Stage 16 Brake and Wheel assembly
Step 1 Heat the tire as we did before, assemble the two halves of the wheel and secure with 3EM screws.
Step 2 Put the brake disc into the caliper dust shield assembly. Line up the notches on the disc and dust cover.
Step 3 Slide the parts onto the axle. Make sure the notches are both positioned correctly on the axle.
Step 4&5 Put the wheel assembly onto the axle and secure with a washer and 1 FM screw.
Step 6 Place the hub cap onto the wheel, line up the screw holes and secure with 5 AM screws.
Step 7 Fix both brake lines to the brake calipers.

Stage 16 is complete.

Stage 17 Cooling fan assembly

Steps 1,2&3 Attach the 3 fan blades to the fan frame with ! DP screw each.
Step 4&5 Secure the fan and motor frame to the fan assembly using 4 BP screws.

Stage 17 is complete.

Stage 18 Mounting the fan assembly to the front clip.

Step 1 press the radiator halves together.
Step 2 Place the fan assembly onto the radiator and secure with two BP screws.
Step 3 Slide the radiator assembly onto the radiator frame.
Step 4 Using 4 BP screws, attach the radiator bars to the radiator assembly.
Step 5 Press the 2 large diameter hoses onto the pins on the radiator. Short hose goes on top.
Step 6 Put the radiator assembly onto the frame and connect with 2 EM screws.

Box 5 Stage 18 is complete. Safely stash all the parts and assemblies until the next box arrives.
