Hi All, BigGrin

I`m back with pack 6 that covers Issues 19 - 22. Blink

In this pack the left forearm, upper arm and shoulder joint will be completed.

As this is still a replication of the right arm, I won`t be giving fully detailed info, except I want to save you going backwards and forwards between Issues so will keep it to the point.

I will be posting this pack over the next week, so please return on a regular basis to check for updates.ThumpUp

Issue 19 will complete the left forearm and the elbow joint. The parts of which are shown in Pic 1.

The forearm is completed by the addition of the left forearm cover (an easy press fit), just make sure that the part is in line with the forearm or you may break the locating pins. Pic 2.

The elbow cover consists of three parts, two discs and the curved plate. The discs (L1 and L2) can only fit in one orientation as the locating pins are different sizes, so fit them as shown in Pics 3 and 4.

The elbow cover must now be fixed to the elbow (push fit) and must be placed as per the orientation shown in Pic 5.

Having affixed the elbow plate, the completion of this issue is shown in Pic 6.

As stated earlier, there will be updates throughout the following week for this pack. So until then "Take Care" and see you soon.

Hi All, BigGrin

The build continues with stage 20 where we will construct the Left Shoulder Joint.

It is now apparent, that the extra friction discs supplied with the earlier issue are indeed spares, as are half of those supplied with this issue. Cool

I`ll start as usual with the supplied parts for this issue shown in Pic 1.

As before a friction disc is applied to either side of the Shoulder Joint as seen in Pics 2 and 3. Then a friction disc is applied to both flat sides of the Shoulder Washers. Pic 4

Assemble the parts of the Shoulder, following Pic 5 to Pic 9 (making sure that the Joint Washer orientation is as per Pic 5).

Now complete the Shoulder Joint construction by fixing an FM nut and bolt through the centre hole as shown in Pic 10.

Finally, check the movement of the Shoulder Joint and adjust the tension of the FM nut and bolt if required. Pic 11.

I am now in a position to confirm the following:

The Left Arm and Hand will be completed by Issue 28 and Issues 29/30 will see the construction of the Left Knee Joint start.

Don`t forget: If you want to discus anything reference this Official Build, then you can do so via the link below. This keeps the Official Build as purely a factual log and makes it easier for people to follow. To that end, should you feel that something needs adding to this Build Diary I am open for discussion in the same link:

Until the next update, take care and stay safe.

Hi All, BigGrin

Well, with all the other stuff I deal with in retirement (and I love it) this build is dragging me on toward the end at a rate of knots. ThumpUp ThumpUp

Here we are with Issue 21.Cool

As per the usual, parts supplied are shown in Pic 1.

In this issue we will complete the Left Shoulder Joint, that will be installed with the Upper Arm in Issue 22.

As with the Right Arm, check out the orientation and shape of the springs supplied with this issue. Pic 2.

Bring the Shoulder Joint (from previous issue) to your work place, along with the two springs and two HP screws supplied with this stage. Pic 3.

Now fix a spring, using an HP screw to each side of the Shoulder Joint. Pic 4.

With both springs connected, you Shoulder Joint should be the same as that shown in Pic 5.

Now fit the frame to the Shoulder Joint, making sure that the orientation is as per that shown in Pic 6.

Connect the open ends of the springs to each side of the frame as shown in Pic 7.

Position the Shoulder Joint and Shoulder Covers as shown in Pic 8 and then push both covers in place as shown in Pic 9.

The final thing to check, is that the frame can be moved away from the shoulder and will return under the spring tension to its normal position. Pic 10.

That completes this issue, so keep the Shoulder Joint and Securing Plate safe for the next building session.

See you all soon, for the final issue (22) of this pack. ThumpUp ThumpUp

Take care and see you soon. BigGrin

Don`t forget that, questions, problems and any suggestions for better "Official Builds" can be discussed in the "Discussion Area" of any "Build".

Hi All, BigGrin

This update is for Issue 22 and is the last for this Pack.ThumpUp ThumpUp

In this issue we will build most of the Upper Left Arm and connect the Shoulder Joint.

The parts supplied are shown in Pic 1. Please note: you can use the protective stickers from the earlier issue and keep the four from this issue as spares, so they are all on one piece of backing paper.

Which ever stickers you choose to use, fit one to each half of the Upper Arm as shown in Pic 2.

Now bring the Lower Arm/Elbow Joint from the previous stage back to your work space. Position the end of the Elbow Joint into the Outer Arm Cover supplied with this stage and when correctly located secure them together using an EM screw. Pic 3.

Bring the Shoulder Joint and Securing Plate back to the work space now and fix them in place with two EM screws as shown in Pic 4.

Lastly put the Inner Arm Cover in place and secure that with two EM screws. Pic 5.

Pic 6, shows how the Left Arm should look at this time. BigGrin

That concludes this pack, but I will be back soon with the next pack as construction is nearly complete and then its ready for posting.

Take Care.
