I'm toying with the idea of maybe going up to Shropshire this year for the annual Telford Model Show otherwise known as 'Scale Model World' on the weekend of Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of November, which is the biggest UK model show each year and a bit of a 'Mecca' for modellers to visit!
Haven't fully decided yet, but never been and want to go at least once in my lifetime, so was just interested to know if anybody else on here might be going this year?

Hi Kev, I`ve been every year since 2018, except last year as the good lady was nearly blind with cataracts. That issue has now gone after two very successful operations. Normally go on the Sunday as its "Remembrance Day" and they do mark the event well, but I can change to Saturday if it suits you best and want to meet up. It is one "AMAZING" show and I`ve even been and bought nothing and its still a great show. I will be going whatever, so let me know when you are going (if you go) and we can meet up for a coffee driving can be such a pain. Worst thing is that the good lady doesn`t drink, but she don`t drive either. Regards delboy271155 (Derek)Admin

Hello Derek,
I'm thinking of making a short break around the show (my good wife has said I can have a holiday all to myself!), and travelling up from home (210 miles) on the Friday 10th then travelling back on Monday 13th, staying in accommodation whilst I'm up there?
I've just joined IPMS(UK), which I've been meaning to do for years, and which automatically gives me FREE ADMISSION and EARLY ENTRY for both show days. Bargain!! I've also put in a holiday request for that period at work which doesn't look like it should be a problem as I appear to be the only one asking for those dates. As soon as that is all confirmed, I'm going to book a hire car and accommodation for that period, so if everything clicks into place I should be good to go and really looking forward to it!! Only other thing to do is set a limit on how much money I spend at the show!!
It would be good to meet up for a coffee and chat at the show.

I too have been going since 2018, although I didn’t attend last year. I am also looking at going this year if to just stock up on brushes and other Knick-knacks. Both myself and my wife are members of the IPMS which give us free admission. Mark

Well it looks that way Derek, I think it would be cool to meet up and put some faces to names and nice to know that you'll also likely be going Mark.
Anybody else thinking of going?

Well, I've had my holiday request at work confirmed for the show weekend, so I've just got to organise accommodation now and I'm good to go!
Looking forward to it!

Hi All,
Well the big show is getting close and I can`t wait. Wifey has super glued my credit card in the wallet. Only joking, I hope (had better check). She likes the show as much as I do, so hope to see some of you there.
I`ll be the guy with the long grey hair and big beard/moustache. No I won`t be wearing a red suit and black boots.
If you get there enjoy yourself.
