Hi All, BigGrin

Just taken delivery of the latest pack of Ironman that covers issues 87 - 90.

Now, at the end of this pack we are only 10 issues from the finish line.ThumpUp Woot ThumpUp

In this issue we will build up the Breastplate. Another part of the the chest.

Parts supplied as always are shown in Pic 1.

There are six detail parts in total that need to be added to the Breastplate, NOTE: the locating pins of said parts are at an angle to the parts so take care when pushing them into place, or you will break the locating pins.

There are three parts for the right side Pic 2 and three to the left side Pic 3.

For the last part of this update, place the ARC Reactor cover into position on the inside of the Breastplate. Pic 4. Then fix the cover in place using 2 x IP screws. Pic 5.

Pic 6 shows the completed Breastplate for this issue. For storage purposes, I placed the Breastplate back into the blister packaging it came in until needed again. Pic 7.

See you all soon for the next update. Issue 88. Drool Drool Drool

Well I`m back again, BigGrin

Hi All and welcome to the next update: Issue 88.

In this update, we start the construction of Ironman's neck. For now the lower and upper pivots will be made, then in the next update the neck will be completed with the outer armour and be attached to the Torso.

Pic 1, as we all know shows the parts supplied with this issue. Flapper LOL

Take parts 88A and 88B that will form the "upper" neck joint, position them as shown in Pic 2 and fix them with the use of an SP screw as in Pic 3.

TIP: tighten the SP screw enough so that the parts can still move with a little pressure, but do not flop about.

Now place the Neck Base parts (88C and D) together as per Pic 4, then secure them with two LP screws, Pic 5.

That completes this update with the constructed parts shown in Pic 6.

In Issue 89 (the next update) you will install the parts just made, inside the neck armour and connect the neck to the torso.

Issue 90 will start the Abdomen area of Ironman.

See you all soon. Cool Cool Cool

Hi All, BigGrin

Here we go with the Issue 89 update, where Ironman`s neck is worked on and attached to his torso.

Parts supplied are shown in Pic 1.

To start you will need to retrieve the two assemblies from Issue 88. These will become the upper and lower neck connections.

Place the lower neck connector inside part 89A (from this issue)and fix it in position using two GP screws. Pic 2.

Now fit the upper connector in place, making sure the part fit fully into the slot in 89A. Pic 3.

Making sure that the parts line up place the second side of the neck (89B) over the assembly and fix it in place using 2 x KP screws. Pic 4.

To complete this update, retrieve the chest assembly from issue 86. Place it on the work surface with the shoulders uppermost. Gently press the neck assembly down onto the ball joint in the top of the chest. this only needs gentle pressure and you should feel when the joint comes together. Pic 5.

That completes the neck construction.

I`ll see you soon for Issue 90, where we start construction of the abdominal area of the armour.

Hi All, BigGrin BigGrin

Well we come to the end of another pack, with the update for Issue 90.

This issue starts the Abdominal area of the armour.

Parts as always ....... Pic 1. Flapper

Start by positioning the Abdominal mechanism plate (90B) onto the Inner abdominal plate (90A). Note: the locating pins and holes are at an angle, so be careful when pressing the parts together. Pic 2.

With the parts fully located, fix them together from the inside using 4 x KP screws. Pic 3.

One last part to add.

Position the Abdomen/Chest connection (90D) inside the previous assembly and secure it in place with 2 x IM screws. Pic 4.

That concludes this update, with the final assembly and Part 90C (to be used in a later stage) shown in Pic 5.

My next pack arrived this morning, so I`m about to crack on with that and will be back soon. ThumpUp Woot ThumpUp
