Issue 16

The Left Foot

Picture 1
shows the contents of this issue.

Retrieve the left foot assembly along with the ankle joint washer and spring, picture 2. Place the ankle joint washer over the post on the joint, placing the spring on the post next to the washer as shown in picture 3. Take the ankle joint support and a RM screw, picture 4, placing it over the post and securing it with the RM screw, picture 5.

Note: Check that the joint support can rotate a few degrees either way. This was quite stiff, as the washer grooves embed themselves into the post grooves, in fact mine did not move at all. I Loosened off the screw and move the joint back and forth, making the washer wear down the grooves slightly, before tightening up the screw again. Although it was still quite stiff, it did move either way.

Take the inner left calf and an FM screw, picture 6, and secure it as shown in picture 7.

Picture 8 shows the complete assembly for this issue.
