On another note, This is an original nail from HMS Warrior when she was at hartlepool.
I picked it up when i was visitin before work started on her back in 85 or 86, cant remember exactly but i was with my probation officer takin pics of her and was invited on board for a look around.

Nice tidy build, with added detail ThumpUp

My only suggestion would be to thin your paint down and apply several thin coats for a smoother finish, but other than that, well done!

In the first place it was a nice finish but when i touched some of the black up it covered some yellow, and as the carronade was finished the yellow got a little sloppy :( but i never thinned out the last touch up so that's why it looks like a blind man painted it.
im disappointed at the finished piece but as ya say ya learn by ya mistakes.

Nice work on the planking, very precise cutting too - is it filler-free? (Hard to tell from the pics, but it certainly looks clean).

When profiling the bow, did you sand the formers to a 'V' or a more rounded profile?

I sanded to a v shape matey and a small mixture of sawdust and wood glue was used on either side as one slight gap was to tight to fit a splinter of wood in.
