Lovely work Mo.

You could get one of those cans of compressed air and spray the dust away with that, or if you have an airbrush just ramp the pressure up and blow away BigGrin

The decks are almost complete, still waiting on material to do a couple of jobs, Like complete the handrail, and I have 6 Posts to make and fit on the foredeck. But the captain is now repaired.
All in All very happy with the progress.

Thanks Magpie, Gandale & Delboy for your comments, I would like to start on the rigging, but have to get all the work on the hull done first, Quite a bit still to do,
However " slowly slowly catchy monkey " as they say

Bit more of an update.

Started to do the chains to the " chainwales " is that the term ?
Not happy at all with the result. Going to have to think up something better than this, Will keep you posted, While I think I am going to get the gunport lids made up.

The height of the boat is to low for me, so I have blocked it up to get a more comfortable position, I think the chainwales are going to take sometime

Cut out the lids, sanded them all round, and gave them a coat of light oak to both sides.

I stuck the hinges on with superglue, before I bored the holes through the lids to accommodate the pins

Again I glued the pins in, then later snipped them of and filed down, Bored the hole for the rope, a small knot and done.
