It looks like deagostini have changed their delivery firm from royal mail to yodal. Is this a good thing? Not had much experience with yodal. Senna mclaren mp4/4 build complete mp4/4 build http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&t=12029

Yep its a recent innovation. I had no prior warning of the change either, but I had a delivery a few of days ago and it took 2 - 3 days off the delivery time in comparison to the Post Office.. Only time will tell if it continues this way.
I did post a warning, thinking it may have been a scam when I received the notification from Yodel that they had my package. See the link below:

I've had a few deliveries very recently from Yodel. No problems, but I didn't now the delivery agent/courier was changing.

As with all courier companies, a lot depends on the local delivery driver. Some good, some not so good and some down right useless.
When I used to live in outer London/Kent Yodel along with Evri (Hermes), were awful, but where I am now I haven't had any issues with either of them. Although all courier employees are unable to understand the word FRAGILE, especially if it is in big red capital letters.
At least Yodel's tracking system is slightly better than Royal Mail's which just used to say that the package was in the system!

So far not so good with Yodel.
I know that my account says that the estimated delivery is 22 - 25 days after payment, but generally it would take about a week between payment being made and delivery by Royal Mail.
It's 12 days since payment for the 4th package was made, my DeAgostini account says it has left their warehouse and Yodel's tracking system says 'We're expecting your parcel from your sender. We will provide updates here once we receive it'.
DeAgostini sent an email saying they sent it on the 10th, and yodel say they are waiting for it. Neither of which helps me.
Shipping 8 days after payment is quite poor by any standards.
Does anyone know where their warehouse is? I assume it's in the UK somewhere.
Come back Royal Mail all is forgiven

Hi Guys,
I have today emailed my contact in CS for an explanation as to what is occurring and I`m waiting for a response.
I have two packages, shown as having left the warehouse on the same date as yours and Yodel know nothing about them. They are not even waiting for them to arrive.
As soon as I get an update I will post it here.

Check your yodel app guys, mine has just shown up that they have it. Also, as a bonus, they give you the option of collecting from the local depot if you don't trust the driver which is what I've opted for. Picking it up Wednesday👍 Senna mclaren mp4/4 build complete mp4/4 build http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&t=12029

I was mid email reply to CS when you posted this and before I finished, the email from Yodel landed in my inbox telling me delivery would be Wednesday. The tracking of that parcel now states they were indeed expecting on 10/07/24 but I was never notified. (Yep checked SPAM).
So for now I will be putting this down to getting the new system into gear, but I will be keeping my finger on the pulse and listening if people have an issue posted on the forum.
Thanks again for you quick response.
@ Graham27 please update as to whether your situation has changed.

Hi All,
Following my convo with CS, I have a further update:
When a package appears on your portal as "left the warehouse" it may actually have a two to three day delay. The reason for this is that packages are picked up twice a week by the courier (Yodel) and if you are lucky with the timing, then delivery maybe quicker. If you just missed a collection it may add a few days, but at least we all know now.

My Yodel update now says 'Arriving by Wednesday 17th July'. Although it is still showing as being at their national hub, wherever that is! For me, Royal Mail was a much better option as the 'post people/person' know who they can safely leave a package with depending on which neighbour is in.

Yodel has two National Hubs. One in South London and one in the West Midlands.
If you go onto the Yodel App, you can do all sorts of things. That includes telling them the neighbours you trust and those you don`t. You can divert, change delivery date/time, request pick up from a local shop, (mines less than half a mile away, closer than the Post Office sorting office) and lots more.
I appreciate that some people don`t like change, but it happens and my guess is down to costs. Stay with the same courier and costs go up "people moan", move to a cheaper courier to save putting up prices "people moan", just can`t please all the people all the time.
That`s how it is I`m afraid.

TBH... I don't follow any of the email tracking/info stuff. I just wait for the bits to arrive , which it always does.
