Hi All,
Time for an update on the big 1:6 Mustang. This pack covers issues 49 - 53 and in this update (issue 49) we add the front fender guard panels to the main chassis.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the main chassis.
The fender guard panels are marked "R" and "L" for identification, position them as shown in Pic 2.
Position the right side panel (49A) and fix it in place using 2 x DS02 screws as shown in Pic 3, noting that the part slopes toward the front of the chassis. Repeat this procedure with the left panel (49B), also using 2 x DS02 screws to fix it in place, Pic 4.
That`s it for this update, Pic 5 shows the panels in place.

Hi All,
Well here we go with the issue 51 update. In this issue we add the lower suspension arm brackets, add parts to the steering assembly from issue 50 and fit the steering assembly to the main chassis.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the main chassis and the steering assembly from issue 50.
The lower suspension arm brackets are marked R and L for right and left, but take note of the shaped protuberences indicated in Pic 2. These will fit into recesses on the underside of the chassis. Fit the right bracket and fix it in place using 2 x DS02 screws, Pic 3. Then repeat with the left bracket as shown in Pic 4. Pic 5 shows both brackets in place.
Now retrieve the steering assembly from issue 50 and add the steering cylinder 51D onto the unused pillar, then fix it in place using a DS25 screw, Pic 6. Next push the Pitman arm 51C into the cylinder and rest the other end over the base of the toothed section of the left tie rod, Pic 7.
Place the main chassis upside down on the table and position the steering assembly as shown in Pic 8 aligning the two fixing holes indicated. Finally fix the steering assembly to the chassis using 2 x DS01 screws, Pic 9.
That`s it for this update, Pic 10 shows how the front end of the chassis now looks. Issue 52 update coming soon.

Hi All,
This is the update for Issue 52 of the Mustang. In this update we will add the front lower suspension arms and then fit the front wheels, attaching them to the lower suspension arms and the steering rack.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the main chassis and the two front wheel assemblies, constructed earlier in the series.
Start with the main chassis and add the lower left suspension arm 52A inside the bracket 51A, that you fixed in the last update. Then fix the parts using one of the pins 52E, pushing it into place smooth end first. All shown in Pic 2.
Now repeat this assembly on the right hand side, Pic 3. The front end should now be like that shown in Pic 4. Now turn the chassis over and fix the other ends of the lower suspension arms, using a PS11 screw in each, Pic 5.
The final parts of the lower suspension arms are the suspension arm holders 52B and 52D, these parts have two posts on them that are different sizes. Place them as shown in Pic 6 and fix each one from the other side of the chassis using a PS12 screw, Pic 7.
We will now fit the front wheel assemblies. Position the wheels as shown in Pic 8. This will make sure they are on the correct side.
I chose to fit the left wheel first. With the chassis upside down position the wheel assembly and fix it in place using a DS12 and DS25 screw as shown in Pic 9. Then repeat this operation for the right wheel as shown in Pic 10.
That`s it for this update Pic 11. NOTE: Care must be taken when handling the chassis as the top suspension arms are not yet fitted and therefore the front wheels will tilt slightly.

Hi All,
Here we are with the last update for this pack, Issue 53. In this update we fit the front stabilizer bar and construct and fit the steering box.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the main chassis from issue 52.
Start by positioning the stabilizer bar to the chassis, noting that the ends of the bar go underneath the lower suspension arms with the bent ends pointing upwards and the front end sitting in the two brackets. All indicated in Pic 2. Keep the front end positioned on the brackets and fix the ends to the lower suspension arms using 2 x PS09 screws, Pic 3. Next fit the stabilizer brackets 53D and 53E fixing each with a DS03 screw as in Pic 4.
We now move onto the steering box.
Fit the small gear 53-G onto the post in the steering box 53-B and fix it in place using a DS17 screw, Pic 5. Then position the gears 53-H and 53-F as shown in Pic 6. For the final part of the steering box construction, fit the cover 53-C on the box and fix it in place using 2 x DS02 screws, Pic 7.
The steering box is now located on top of the chassis, so that the small gear that extends outside the steering box, engages with the toothed part of the steering rack. Indicated in Pic 8. The box is then fixed to the chassis from underneath, using 2 x DS02 screws, Pic 9.
That completes this update and pack, Pic 10 shows the front end of the chassis.
