Retrieve the engine and the main chassis/cockpit assembly.

Locate the six silver tubes, parts 6 x 62C.

Fit two of the tubes to the two pins on the left throttle rod mount, part 36E.
(Incorrectly labelled right in the printed instructions)

STAGE 62B:

Follow these instructions if you did not use the extra step in stage 36A:

Remove the two black fuel lines and fittings, parts 22D and 22E from the top rear of the cockpit assembly.

Remove the two clear fuel lines, parts 2 x 24D from the chrome tank at the top rear of the cockpit assembly.

Fit the open end of the black fuel line, part 22D to the pin pointing downwards on the underside of the fuel filter, Part 31G. This is located between and under the two large chrome air intakes on the top of the engine.
Access is very fiddly here so you will need a pair of long narrow tweezers.

Fit the other black fuel line, part 22E to the pin on the end of the pressure regulator, part 34G.
This is located at the end of the engine, between and under the two chrome air intakes on the top of the engine.
Access is not as difficult as the previous black fuel line fitting but you will still need long narrow tweezers.

Fit the two clear fuel lines, parts 2 x 24D to the two pins on the triangular shaped part of the right cylinder head, next to the cam belts.

STAGE 62C:

Fit the engine assembly onto the main chassis, taking care to keep all lines and pipes clear of both assemblies.

The engine fixes to the chassis using 2 x LM screws from underneath.

Refit the black fuel lines to the top of the cockpit rear, and the clear fuel lines to the chrome fuel tank.

Locate the two engine mounting brackets, parts 62A and 62B.

Fit bracket 62A to the left front of the engine with the two chrome pins locating in the two holes at the top left of the cam cover and the small black pin locating in the hole on the rear of the cockpit.

Fit the right bracket, part 62B in the same way on the other side of the engine.

Store safely for now.

STAGE 63:

In this stage you will add oil pipes to the engine.

Retrieve the main assembly and position the car with the engine to the left.

Locate the oil pipe, part 63A and fit it to the hole in the lower gearbox housing and the other end to the right cylinder head oil pump, part 41D.

Locate the oil pipe, part 63C and fit it to the other side of the engine with the left end of the part attaching to the oil pump, part 41H and the right end of the pipe attaching to hole in the gearbox housing, part 50A.
This is a fiddly part of the build needing long nose pliers or tweezers.

Fit the three parts of the oil pipe, 2 x 63D and part 63B together.
Fit the oil pipe parts 63D and 63E together and then fit the assembly to the previously assembled oil pipe parts.
The correct angle and position will be adjusted at the next step.

Fit the assembly to the oil pipe, part 45 and the upper curved end of the assembly to the pipe on the oil tank, part 52A on the top of the transmission case.
Fix in place with 1 x CM screw through the angled bracket, into the gearbox housing.

Locate the fairing bracket, part 63F and fit it to the hole in the end of the right cylinder head housing using 1 x DP screw.
The angled lower arm of the bracket fits into the hole in the side of the gearbox housing.

Store safely for now.

STAGE 64:

In this stage you will fit the gear shift rod.

Locate the gear shift rod parts 64A and 64B.
Press the two parts together. They will only fit one way and the angle on the end of part 64B can be adjusted when fitting it to the engine.

Fit the assembled gear shift rod to the transmission, the end of part 64A going into the hole in the gearbox fitting, part 47A.

The other end of the rod, part 64B will fit onto the rod joint, part 35E.
The angle on the end of part 64B can be adjusted here to fit neatly.

Fit the sidepod fairing bracket, part 64C onto the right side of the engine, locating the square tab on the end in the rectangular location on the side of the cylinder head, fixing it with 1 x DP screw.
The other rod on the bracket will locate in the hole below, on the gearbox housing.

Store the model safely for now.

STAGE 65:

In this stage you will fit the waste gate exhaust pipes.

Locate the two waste gate exhaust pipes, parts 65A and 65B.
Note that they are marked ‘L’ and ‘R’ on the sprue.
So as to not mix them up, do not cut them both from the sprue yet.

Cut the LEFT exhaust from the sprue, part 65A, marked ‘L’
Fit this to the end of the waste gate valve on the left of the engine.
It will only fit one way.

Cut the RIGHT exhaust from the sprue, part 65B, marked ‘R’
Fit this to the end of the waste gate valve on the right of the engine.
It will only fit one way.

OPTIONAL DETAIL:
Colour the ends of the exhausts black with a permanent marker to replicate the openings.
This is entirely at the builder’s discretion.

Store the model and unused parts safely for now.

STAGE 66:

In this stage you will fit the left exhaust pipe.

Locate the exhaust pipe parts, 66A, 66B and 66C.
Fit the parts together and fix using 2 x DP screws.
The parts will only fit one way.

Locate the turbocharger housing and link bracket, parts 66D and 66E.
Fit the bracket, part 66D to the link hoop at the top of the turbo housing, part 66E with the sloping face towards the housing.
Fix using 1 x BP screw but do not fully tighten the screw, allowing the bracket to move.

Locate the turbine housing, part 66F and the previous two assemblies.
Press-fit the parts together.
They will only fit one way.

Retrieve the main car assembly and fit the exhaust to the left side of the engine.
The hole in the chrome part, 66F, will locate on the pin on the manifold, part 29E.
The ‘leg’ on the exhaust locates in the hole on the chassis floor and is fixed from underneath using 1 x DP screw.

Locate the bracket link and circlip, parts 66G and 66H.
Fit the link into the hole in the end of the bracket link, part 66D, and slide the opening in the link over the peg on the turbo bracket, part 37A.
The angled end on the link, part 66G should be leaning away from the bracket.

ASSEMBLY TIP:
At this point, do NOT cut a circlip from the sprue.
It will be far easier to fit the tiny circlip, still attached to the sprue and then cut the sprue away afterwards.

Store the model and any unused parts safely for now.
