STAGE 21:

Right rear suspension.

Pic 1: Locate the shock absorber parts 21B, 21C, 21D and 21G.
You will also need the assembly cradle 18G saved from stage 18.

Pic 2: Assemble the shock absorber as shown and fix the parts together with the pin 21G.

Pic 3: Make two sets of shock absorbers.

Pic 4: Fit the shock absorbers into the upper arm 21A as shown and fix with 2 x BM screws from the outside.
NOTE: The upper ends of the shock absorbers should angle outwards.

Pic 5: Retrieve the engine and frame assembly and fit the suspension tie rod 21E as shown and fix with 1 x ABM screw.

Pic 6: Fit the upper arm 21A to the engine frame as shown and fix with 2 x ANM screws.

Pic 7: Lift the shock absorbers and fit them the upper cradle.
Fix them using 2 x ABM screws.

Pic 8: Fit the lower arm 21F to the frame as shown and fix with 2 x ANM screws.

Store the assembly and shock absorber cradle 18G safely for now.

STAGE 22A:

Right rear suspension and brake.

Pic 1: Fit the wheel guard and bracket 22I and 22H together as shown and fix using 2 x KP screws.

Pic 2: Fit the assembly to the hub sleeve and fix with 2 x SM screws.

Pic 3: Fit the brake pipe adaptor 22F into the caliper 22E.

Pic 4: Fit the caliper to the hub sleeve as shown and fix with 2 x AM screws.

Pic 5: Fit the half shaft parts 22B, 22C and 22D together as shown and fix using 2 x AP screws.

Pic 6: Fit the assembly into the hub sleeve and position the steering rod bracket 22G as shown.
Fix the parts together using 4 x AM screws.

Pic 7: Fit the brake pipe 22M to the end of the fitting 22F.

STAGE 22B:

Pic 8: Locate the three brake disc parts 22J, 22K and 22L.

Pic 9: Press-fit the parts together.
Make sure the ribbed face on 22J faces 22K.

Pic 10: Retrieve the engine/frame assembly and fit the hub and drive shaft in place as shown.
The drive shaft should locate in the black rubber boot 5L.
The caliper should be on the right.

Pic 11: Secure the hub to the suspension arms as shown using 2 x BM screws.

Pic 12: Fit the end of the track rod 21E to the end of 22G and fix with 1 x AM screw.

Pic 13: Store the assembly safely for now.

STAGE 23:

Anti-roll bar.

Pic 1: Assemble the anti-roll bar parts 23A and 2 x 23B as shown and fix from the outside at each end using 2 x BM screws.

Pic 2: Fit the anti-roll bar assembly to the main engine frame as shown making sure the two moveable link rods are not trapped behind it.
Secure the two arms 22B to the lower suspension arms using 2 x AM screws.

Pic 3: Shows detail of the fixing.
Fit the left retaining bracket 23C(L) to the inside of the engine frame with the pin on the bracket going into the lower hole in the side frame.

Pic 4: Fix from the other side with 1 x AM screw.

Pic 5: Fit the right bracket 23C(R) in the same way.

Pic 6: Fit the cap 23H to the gas tank 23E. It will only fit one way.

Pic 7: Fit the assembly into the gas tank 23F and insert a AM screw down the inside.

Pic 8: Place the gas tank assembly onto the circular location on the main frame as shown and tighten the AM screw you fitted inside the gas tank.

Pic 9: Fit the tank cap 23G to the top of the gas tank and then attach the hose 23I to the small pin on the top.

Store the assembly safely.

STAGE 24:

Rear wheels.

Pic 1: Soak the tyre 24A in hot water for around 30 seconds.
Take care here.

Pic 2: Using tongs, remove the tyre from the hot water and dry it.

Pic 3: Lay the tyre on a firm surface and put the wheel 24B on top.
Using firm pressure, push down on the wheel to fit it into the tyre.

Pic 4: Shows the wheel/tyre assembled.

Pic 5: Retrieve the engine/chassis assembly and fit the disc brake assembly 19J/K/L as sown.
Fit a nylon bush to the centre and secure the parts with 1 x DM screw.

Pic 6: The printed instructions suggest fitting the wheel now using the supplied AM screws.
This has not been done here due to the extra weight on the assembly. The wheels will be fitted later on in the build.
This is entirely at the builders’ discretion but make sure you label the screws and save them.

Pic 7: Repeat the fitting of the brake disc on the other side of the model.

Store all parts safely.

STAGE 25:

Central chassis.

Pic 1: Locate the radiator bottom tube 25B.
It will fit in the locating holes on the chassis 25A where indicated.

Pic 2: Radiator bottom tube in place.

Pic 3: Retrieve the engine and frame assembly and position it against the chassis 25A.

Pic 4: Fit the chassis and engine frame together and secure using 2 x ABM screws on each bracket joint.

Pic 5: Stage completed.
Take care with the model as at this stage the engine/chassis joint could easily be damaged or even broken.

STAGE 26:

Central chassis and subframe.

Pic 1: Retrieve the main assembly and the central chassis panel 26A.
It will fit into the location as shown.

Pic 2: Fit the panel 26A in place.
It will only fit one way.
Fix using 8 x TM screws.

Pic 3: Turn the assembly over and fit the tie rod 26B in place as shown fixing the chassis end using 2 x AM screws and the other end with 1 x ABM screw.

Pic 4: Fit the other tie rod 26C in place as shown fixing the chassis end using 2 x AM screws and the other end with 1 x ABM screw.

Pic 5: Fit the small bracket 26D to the chassis as shown and fix with 1 x AM screw
.
Pic 6: Fit the other bracket 26E to the opposite corner of the chassis and fix using 1 x AM screw.
The ‘forked’ end of the bracket should locate with the projection on the engine sump 12B.

Pic 7: Secure the bracket 26E to the engine sump 12B using 1 x ANM screw.

Store the assembly safely for now still taking care with the engine/chassis joints.
