tomick,
i know there are a few things beyond our control regarding what is considered a true trafalgar finish, such as the stern carving, but the recent issue mentioned that there were no royal backstay block and tackle fitted, it's an easy fix to remove the block that we had fitted already.

i read somewhere that there were no rear hammock nets fitted at trafalgar, is this true? i only ask as i am sure there are a few builders out there who want to create the accurate finish, and if the nets were not fitted then it would be better to find out beforehand. can you throw any light on this.

personally having gone for the stained finish i am happy to have something that looks nice and not necessarily accurate.
Come on you Jimmies

Crane rails were certainly in place at Trafalgar but its unclear about the nets, though I would its a yes, because when it came to storing the hammocks they would have likley fallen out without nets in place. Some builders show nets fitted and others not.

At the end of the day you are free to build as you please, and afterall its your personal representation.
The fact is that even current day Victory is not how she was in 1805 and its unclear if she ever will be.
