Looks a good first effort though. I think i would prefer a glass top as well so you can look down on it. I appreciate you wanted a solid top so you could put the lights in, but I think you have had to make the case quite high to compensate for not being able to look down. I like the finish on the base. What have you used for that.

If you do a glass top, you could run the lights around the rim on top. That would look wicked! Gives me ideas for mine!

I saw a similar display case with an Amalgam 1/8 Ferrari in it in the Ferrari shop in Regent street, London - it had a slightly tilted mirror as a 'back wall' allowing for a nice downward view as well. Good work. Roy.
